At NetFreebies, they have links to hundreds of free services, so you don't have to spend hours browsing through sites, to find exactly what you are looking for.
A good source of counters, guest-books and other add ins. Web site hosts the counters etc - useful if you don't have access to cgi_bin on your ISP's server.

 Register your own domain name. A .co.uk domain really costs £65 with NIC fees, vat and mail/web forwarding to any web / email addresses you choose. You can change these as often as you want on-line. Annual cost for forwarding and NIC charges after the first year is about £30.
