July 2005 VHF National Field Day
As usual for this event (only portable stations can enter), I went on to see what I could work and give some points away. This year conditions were well above normal, initially to the South West on Saturday evening with EA1FDI/P very loud on 2 and 70cms (pity they don't have 23cms!), and then moving round to Germany on Sunday morning. In addition to DL0GTH worked on all bands from 1.3GHz upwards, DF0OL (JO40) was 59+ on all bands up to 10GHz, and DL0MWW (JO41) added another new square on 9cm but did not have any higher frequencies. In addition to SK7MW, DL0TUD (JO60), OZ1ALS/P (JO44), DH9NFM (JO50), DK6AS (JO52), DK0FLT (JN59), DK0SF/P (JN49), DK2AN (JO51) and DF0YY (JO62) were all contacts over 600km on 23cm.
