TSTHSEL (V1.01) Server for TSTHOST & TSTHWIN

This software is a message download selector designed to work with the excellent TSTHOST PMS program written by Mario IK1GKJ. The built in TSTHOST message selection using the UL A command is limited to a maximum of twenty categories. The use of this TSTHSEL program is optional, but will allow greater flexibility of choice and a much higher number of message categories to be marked for retrieval from your HomeBBS.

The program allows selection of any message based on the TO, FROM, AT or TITLE fields. For example, the program may be configured to download all messages addressed TO TSTH regardless of the AT field. If desired, the program can match more than one of the above fields. You could therefore instruct the program to download messages to TSTH @ GBR but to disregard TSTH @ EU. Taking things one step further, it would be possible to download only messages TO TSTH @ GBR and sent by G3WCS.

In addition to the above, a REJECT facility is provided to prevent download of messages conforming to certain criteria. This can be useful to avoid messages with certain TO, AT, FROM or TITLE fields.

If you are in the unusual situation of downloading messages from two or more BBS's TSTHSEL will allow you to manage them all, as separate configuration files are used for each BBS callsign.

The software will work whether you monitor the BBS UNPROTO broadcasts or connect and use the LIST command followed by Mario's LIST2UNP program. Example macro and source files are included for both methods.

By using this software you can totally customise which messages you wish to download. You can even search for certain key words and phrases within the message title field. You can reject messages from any author. In addition you may reject messages based on any or all of the TO, FROM, AT or TITLE fields. For example, you could reject messages from G9XYZ to EU, but accept those from the same callsign addressed to GBR. For non UK use, the program allows the download of ALL bulletins from a BBS, where store and forward operations are required.
