Remove old plate coil and make new one 2.5 turns
Keep old coil for return to 10 mtrs if you wish.

Remove old input coil keep for return to 10mtrs if you wish.
Fit new coil 1 turn and remove the two 82pf capacitors alongside
input coil.Fit one 10pf capacitor into vertical slot where old capacitor
came from.

I did not find it necessary to modify the plate capacitor by removing vanes. It tuned ok and also it was left for return to 10m if required. The valves were cooled by adding an ex-computer blower fan, supply voltage taken from the panel light on unit.

Fit 15pF Compression Trimmer. Mine was a 3-40pF. Connect the capacitor from RF drive input to the relay and then to ground track. Connect SWR meter to the input and tune for minimum reading.
6JB6A Valves + 2 of these can still be got via Wilson Valves although the site has a re-direct on it. Others are available on ebay etc or at rallys if you are lucky.
