All this webpage making can be hard work.

I am a fifty year old radio amateur from the North West of England. I have been licensed since

1983, so I guess I am coming up on 20 years of operating. During this time I have played with

SSB and FM exclusively on the 2 metre and 70 centimetre bands. I have tried mobile and

portable operation as well as in the shack. I have been listening on the HF bands since 1982

and I am looking forward to full operating on these bands in the near future, fingers crossed.

I have finally had my first transatlantic QSO with a station in Florida on Christmas Eve,

as I drove along the motorway in my company van! I am a supporter of the Link network

for this type of contact. Thanks to G4YYB for enabling the facility on GB3MN.

I hope to improve this page as time goes by, so look in again to see if I have managed it.
