Me parachuting in France Latest News

I have finally achieved my CAT 8!! (9th April 1999 at Peterlee)

I am not content with climbing up towers, and swinging underneath huge kites, so I skydive. One of the biggest available rushes, falling from 15,000 feet, and knowing that you are going to live to try again. I mostly skydive with my brother Roger, at the Peterlee Parachuting Center. This is an excellent place to learn to jump and the people are very friendly. Try their web site Peterlee Parachute Center. Again all this is subject to the vagaries of British weather.

EMe in France

One way around the British weather is to jump overseas, Roger and I jumped with Airwaves at Soulac in the south of France. Try Rod Bartholomew's site for more information. Or there is of course the British Parachute Association.

(This is a very exciting hobby, BUT it is DANGEROUS!)

peterlee AFF link It is not necessary to go all the way to France to Skydive, Peterlee are offering AFF in the UK ,and it is a very cost effective way to learn to freefall properly.

However further practice of Canopy control may be needed!! Especially if you are planning on going onto IC1, the first qualification for an experienced skydiver.

Of course you may not live anywhere near Peterlee, and so a quick visit to the BPA site will identify your nearest drop zone. Your first skydive might only be one phone call away!!

Once tried never forgotten!
