G4V series QSL Sub Bureau
Cards have been posted today to all members whose envelopes were up to weight or number. Due to the new postal rates, the average number of cards in an envelope with one first or second class stamp on is now 13 (previously it was 16 or 17).
It's better value for your money for you to put a Large Letter 1st or 2nd Class stamp on your envelopes - this gets round the thickness restriction which is effecting the majority of the stamped envelopes held.
Thanks to everyone who has sent me envelopes, or who has told me they do not wish to receive their cards.
ALL unclaimed cards have been disposed of.
Postage rates go up on 7 April 2008, so I sent out as many cards as I could on 21 March 2008 - especially to the people who insist on putting monetary value stamps on their envelopes instead of ones which say 1st and 2nd. One 1st or 2nd class stamp will only cover envelopes under 240x165mmx5mm thick. If you’re not sure what I have, please get in touch. |
Please may I remind you of the RSGB's Central QSL Bureau guidelines for Sub-Managers in relation to cards which cannot be forwarded because you have not lodged envelopes with your QSL manager:
"Uncollected cards should only be retained for THREE months then destroyed"
If you do not want to receive any cards which come to the Sub-Bureau, please will you let me know.
In order to keep postage and administration costs down at all QSL bureaux, please remember to state in your QSO's if you do not QSL.
