From Northamptonshire

Hi there this page is for you to enjoy, it tells you a little about me, and my amateur radio interests and can hook you up with a range of interesting links.

My name is Richard I am married to Gill and I have a 13-year-old stepdaughter Ceri, and 16-month-old twin girls Megan and Abbey.

I am a real family man, and the twins take up a lot of my time as a father, but when I have time I love my hobby Amateur radio. My previous calls were 2E1BUU and 2E0AFW. As a novice I was mainly able to use QRP and CW so my main interest stems from there. I love CW and the challenge of QRP on home brew antennas I have worked nearly 100 countries on QRP with 57 being confirmed, as a member of the G-QRP club I am aiming to collect my masters award in 2001.

My station also runs packet which is hooked up to the DX cluster most of the time and I run STATION MASTER logging software with this, also the Buckmaster call book on cd runs along side. My packet address is G0VCW@GB7LWB

I run PSK31 on HF but am new to this mode my station covers from top band through to 70CMS. I teach CW and am also a novice licence instructor, so this is my way of putting a little back into the hobby. I have played around with radios and been a SWL since the age of 7 and the hobby still fascinates me.

My main station radio is a FT-920 but I also use TS-680 and home brew QRP equipment.
