About Me
My name is Brian Bowers, I have been a radio ham since 1988.My first callsign was G7CCP, then in 1994 I took the then compulsory 12WPM Morse test to gain an "A" class Licence, my call then changed to G0VAX as it remains today.
I am a time served welder, I completed my apprenticeship at Cammell Lairds Shipbuilders Ltd,Birkenhead between August 1983 and August 1988.I am currently working at Airbus-UK as a welder/fabricator in the plant maintenance department.
What else do when I'm not playing radio, or working, well, I'm also a member of the Territorial Army since August 1986, at the moment I am a Metalsmith and a Vehicle mechanic with 75 Engineer Regiment REME Wksps.
But before all that I'm married to Lisa and we have a daughter called Lucy,and a newborn son called Thomas Brian, he was born on the 13th August, and weighed in a 9lb 9 1/2oz.
