In April 1992 along with G4LTH John & G4WSB Bill I organised what was to be one of the most exciting and interesting expeditions ever to Lighthouses.
With the assistance of the Captain & Crew of the "MV Pole Star" & Callum McPherson of Bond Helicopters we activated every lighthouse in the Orkney Isles  including Sule Skerry, Copinsay & the Barrel of Butter. Taking time to operate  as many bands as possible and working Nets in excess of 200+ stations. IOSA was just an egotistical figment of a bloke in a frock's imagination.
