The boring stuff about me

Who am I?

My name is Conrad Farlow and I was born on December 6th,1965. I am a Musician and Sound engineer by profession and have been since around 1987. Prior to that I was involved in electrical engineering.

I have also taught sound engineering at 3 different colleges between 1990 and 1996. As a self employed person I get a lot of freedom to structure my work load to suit the DX season. This is very convenient!

Amateur Radio
I was licensed in 1985 as G6ZTU and I have  been interested in VHF/UHF/SHF dxing since about 1987. I became G0RUZ in 1992.Currently I am mainly active on 50Mhz and 144Mhz.

I do all my operating from the site of North Wakefield Radio Club G4NOK, who not only allow me almost unlimited access to the site but also allow me to put these huge eme arrays up and use up all their real estate!  The site is fantastic for VHF DXing and I am privileged to have use of the shack. NWRC is vibrant and friendly club with around 60 members, please click on the link above and see what it's all about.

I would like to publicly thank the NWRC for it's continued support, without these facilities I would be QRT.

 On 6m I have 176 DXCC , 33 WAZ and 832 grids. I am currently active on 2m eme and I have 276 initials as of 3rd of September 2001.On 2m I have 78 DXCC and 429 grids I have a 50,144 and 432 WAC and hope to get a 1296 WAC by the end of 2003.
