I have been Licenced since 1987 but have been QRT for much of the past five years for domestic and personal reasons and have now decided to close my station down permanantly and let membersips to the RSGB and most of my clubs lapse. In May 2005 we moved from a house into a bungalow for the sake of my late husband who was disabled. I was too busy caring for him to put antennas up and go on the air and now I have just lost interest. I will however carry on with my two Yahoo reflectors out of loyalty to my friends. I started the twometrecw reflector at Yahoo Groups in 2001 and this eventually became VHF-CW and the list was renamed VivateMorse in 2002 to reflect the varied spectrum interests of the membership. I have since restored twometrecw because enough VivateMorse members wanted this specialised reflector and we now have 46 members. VivateMorse membership currently stands at 166 with many countries represented so if you are interested in CW why not come along and join us? It does not matter whether you are a seasoned operator or a newcomer or where you are or how you send your morse or your speed, you will be made very welcome. |
