Hi, I'm Peter Hunter. My Amateur Radio Callsign is G0GSZ. I'm 53 years of age and moved to Norwich when Elaine and I got married in 1984 - although I was born and bred in Peckham, South East London.
I have been 'messing about' with computers from the mid 70's when I got my first Sinclair 'kit'. I don't think I have ever been 'computer-less' since then. And now of course they play a very large part in my amateur radio activities, mainly for Packet radio G0GSZ@GB7LDI.#35.GBR.EU.
I spend most of my time now caring for Elaine, and in between I 'play' computers and radio.
One interest I do enjoy is writing HTML (the 'code' that web pages are written in). I have managed to get to grips with it so that I can now write entire pages using nothing but 'Notepad'. I am also trying (very hard!) to learn JAVA. As I am self-taught and still very much a novice, any tips or advice, on either of these, would be most welcome.
That's it for now, I just wanted to get something on the page to get it started. I'll elaberate more, and put some more pictures on site, as time permits. I'll be putting a 'Guestbook' on this site soon, but for the time being please feel free to e-mail me.
Amateur Radio has always been in my heart. My dad owned a Television and 'Wireless' shop in the Old Kent Road when I was a boy. I loved taking the old 'scrap' sets apart. At the age of about ten I built my first wireless and was thrilled to bits when it worked.
