7th September

The clubs first contest event the  RSGB Single Sideband Field Day Contest went very well and we made a total of 845 contacts, thank you to all that helped with this event and well done on achieving a very good score.

3rd September

16th August

The Notice of Variation for the special event station "Railways On The Air" has been received and the callsign GB2NPR has been issued by Ofcom this will be added to QRZ.com soon. This event is due to take place over the weekend of 24th/25th September at Normanby Hall near the town of Scunthorpe.

2nd April

The club is still in the process of planning some more special event stations for the coming year and next year 2011, this has been left in the hands of Jim - G6CMX

This radio club has been formed for nearly 20 months now and still going strong. The club is for all hobby Radio Enthusiasts including Amateur Radio - Short Wave Listeners and CB Radio alike serving the town of Brigg North Lincolnshire and surrounding area. The next meeting will be held on Thursday 16th September at 8:30pm at the Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court Brigg, North Lincolnshire. DN20 8EX, (Please see Google Maps for directions) we meet in the room upstairs. This meeting will be a de-brief of the RSGB Single Sideband Field Day Contest and to discuss final planning for the special event station "Railways On The Air"

Advanced License Examination
There is no Formal tuition of the Advance RAE by our Club at this time, but informal tuition may be available. All cost to be met by Candidates, all applications for RAE Advanced Exam, too be applied for in reasonable time, usually 20 days plus before the exam date. Further information and applications via the Exam Secretary.

Natter Nights On The Air

Here at BDARC we try to cater for everyone's interest in the radio related hobby and as such the club meets on the air for a informal chat every Friday evening at 8pm on a frequency of 144.650 FM plus or minus if the frequency is in use. If you hear the net please feel free to join in and say "hello" you are most welcome.
For our nostalgia CB Radio enthusiasts there is also an informal chat every Sunday evening at 6pm on a frequency of 27.315mhz - Channel 31 EU FM or 27.901.25mhz - Channel 31 UK 27/81 FM plus or minus if the frequency is in use, please feel free to break in and say "hello" you are most welcome.
