FPAC
International home page
FPAC is a PC program written by F6DWJ and collaborated on with F6ABJ. This node software requires a very minimal PC configuration to run in, and provides for some very interesting additional features that the ROSE network does not support. FPAC is compatible with the ROSE network, but it adds many new extensions which are only available in an FPAC network.

FPAC is a software product originating from France, and has many features which work directly with the FBB BBS software making it an excellent choice for a node site where a collocated FBB BBS is present.

FPAC is available in both a LINUX version and a DOS version. This web site is primarily devoted to the DOS version. A link to the LINUX FPAC project is included in the LINKS listing.

France has run the FPAC node software in their extensive network for several years, and it is now being introduced into the Florida packet network in the USA.

The key elements of FPAC are RELIABILITY, EXPANDED FUNCTIONS, and EASE of USE.

Recommended reading for any area thinking about migrating to FPAC would be the SYSOP document. The USERS document is an excellent document to give to your users once you have an FPAC network or node operational.

We are starting to add files to the FTP area for your download so check it often. I have added the program that we use in the USA to generate our routing files for DOS FPAC. It is called Netmanager.
