East Coast, Florida

Understanding the East coast map requires some understanding of the symbols you see on the map. The PC ICON's represent FPAC switches that are presently install in the network. These ICON's have eight points where a link can be attached. While FPAC itself is able to handle ten links, we do not have any node sites that require that number of ports at this time.

The ICON that looks like a square block with eight smaller blocks aroung it's outside is the ROSE site ICON. Those sites are made up of one or more TNC's running ROSE firmware. The single TNC ICON represents a single TNC that is running ROSE. The stick men represent either applications or BBS's that are directly attached to a node via a direct attach cable. The ICON that looks like a miniture network represents an interface with another network in another city or location.
