The Fayette County Repeater Association began in 1976 as the RATS (Radio Amateur Technical Society). In those days, it was just a group that got together once a week to work on each others' radios. Collectively, they thought that they might have enough knowledge to keep a crystal 2 meter rig on frequency.

Then came the Riverdale Repeater Association and the first repeater. That group of RATS started it all! The Riverdale Repeater Association was formed in 1981, then became the Fayette County Repeater Association and then was officially incorporated in 2000 as the Fayette County Repeater Association, Inc.

We get together on the fourth Thursday of each month for an eating meeting somewhere in Fayetteville or Peachtree City.

We sponsor the WA4EPK two meter repeater on 145.210 MHz (input down 600 kHz and a PL tone of 131.8 Hz). The repeater features a full function autopatch with speed dial capabilities.

The repeater is located two miles south of Fayetteville, Georgia, with its antenna system atop a 190 foot tower. The W4PSZ repeater on 444.600 MHz, and the K4KZY repeater on 146.685 MHz share the tower with us.
