President's Message Welcome back! Now that the summer is almost over, it's time to get back to doing fun stuff. We have our Fall flea market coming up in just a few months, and our challenge is to make it as good as our Spring one. This is going to require lots of work, and it starts with advertising. W1RH and family have already started to print and distribute flyers. We will again be asking everyone who is going to a ham event to pass out as many of these as possible. If you're going to HRO or You-do-it, take some flyers and make sure the rack is stocked, and that the FARA flyers are on the top row and clearly visible. As many of you have commented, our repeater seems to be a bit under the weather. Dennis is working on it, and we hope the problem turns out to be easy to solve. The FARA shack has a new Ameritron ALS-600 no-tune solid state amplifier. It has been thoroughly tested, and has the 10 meter kit installed. Jim, W1EQW has volunteered to take over the position of Examination Coordinator from K1KTK, who is spending more time in Florida, and deserves our thanks for the many years he worked at building FARA's VE team. Please give Jim your assistance, and remember that FARA can always use more VEs.
