Loop antenna for reception
The
support is out of wood. she have 2 meters in diameter.
There are 20 turns of wire. Varactor are used for tune.
T antenna
for transmittion
Some
details
First adjustments
with a BF generator and a HF ammeter
The coil, just before
the capacitor layer
After few months of tests
I dismount this antenna, why? The least breath of wind move the antenna. That
involved a strong variation of ROS. I needed a variometer imperatively.
While waiting to mount
a 12 meters height antenna with a capacity layer,
I use my 80 meters loop antenna and 10 meters feeder in T antenna version.
This my feeder and at the top, my 80 meters
loop.
I use
variometer.
With my 50 W rig, I have 0.8 ampère.
This
is my new 4 meters loop
Results :
Variometer did most important, I must used only 2,5 mH.
Signals were 6dB down since 4 meters loop.
During a weekend I transmitted in beacon mode on 137,05 KHz,
but weather was stormy and J had no reports..
After these tests I dicede to mont a 10 meters antenna with
16 wires è meters long on the grass and 1 meter rod in the ground.
I used 5/6 mH variometer.
After some tests.
I saw some problems with hand effects.
And tune with high voltage was dangerous!
I decided to use a little variometer (300 uH) with a motor and a 5 mH coil.
