NEWS: February 26, 2000 Newport News, VA

Today, a group of amateur radio operators, from the Central and Tidewater areas of Virginia, formed the Eastern Virginia APRS Group, to be known as EVA. By laws were reviewed, discussed, and agreed upon. The group was formed to elevate the awareness, use, and coordination of APRS in the eastern Virginia areas.

The following officers were elected:
