12/30/08 - Club Meetings

January 7, 2009 will start the New Year Club Meetings. Come - Learn - Enjoy - and make new friends. The programs will consist of useful material (WE HOPE). We will be cleaning the radio room on extra stuff. Be thinking of what you would like to do at your own station and what parts and pieces you might need, maybe even make a list. If those parts or pieces are in our extras, you may take them home with you. We will be loading a pickup with what is left and hauling it away. We need to make the room more usable as a communication center. Their are transformers, capacitors, resistors, transistors, switches, and odds and ends.

We will meet January 7th, the first Wednesday, at 7:30 P.M. as usual and HOPEFULLY in room 22 or 12, the college says the radio room is room 22 but that's the number on the door of the big room out in the hall, in the John Sessions Building at the EITC.

Our main presenter will be Willard Call K7ARJ. He is willing to present how to make circuit boards from concept to finish including but not limited to schematic capture, PC board layout, fabrication, drilling, stuffing and labeling. He will also show a number of fascinating Ham projects he has made over the years. If time permits he may have addition things to show.

We will also start a class for "Generals" starting January 17th. Location to be determined. Interested technicians need to email Steve at [email protected]. Steve needs Name, Address, Phone number, Call Sign, and E-mail address. We will need to order books no later than the January 10th. Come to the club meeting for more details. If time is still left over we may do some antenna demo's.
Thanks
Steve KC7IHV
