This view is looking northwest. At ground level one is 2800 feet AMSL, and over 1300 feet HAAT.

Provides for some exceptional UHF coverage.

This building houses the KD4RTR/R repeater. It is an explosives magazine, roughly 6 inches thick and bullet-proof! The hardline that you see go to a professionally-installed Rohn 45G tower, 160 feet tall. The site manager here is Big Sandy Two-Way Communications of Prestonsburg, KY. A special thanks to all of the people there for allowing us to be on the site, and also for their maintaining the site to be as intermod-free as possible.
