Annual General Meeting

April 15, 2011

 

Held at the Cranbrook Bavarian Chalet Restaurant.  19 members present. Chair: VE7CRJ

 

SICK OR INJURED AMATEURS:

VE7AVO continues her recovery following a vehicle accident.

MINUTES

MOTION: Adopt the minutes of the previous meeting as circulated.

Moved VE7SFN  Seconded VE7CWM. Carried.

 

CORRESPONDENCE:

-         EKARC Liability Insurance invoice has been paid at the same rate as last year.

-         A letter to renew the EKARC Society membership was received.

 

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:

 

 

VE7CRJ          -    Spillamacheen has been snowed in.

-         The southbound Golden Link has been problematic with problems on Jubilee

-         The EKARC display at the College Science Fair was a success with 8 new course registrations

-         A tube bank workshop/cleanup will be organized in the near future

-         Volunteers are needed for the Children’s Festival on Friday May 13, 2011

-         The upcoming Basic Licence Course presently has 104 registrations with still room for more.

VE7CRJ:  -     The APRS site on Morrisey needs work.

-         Field Day is June 24-25 – Interested persons to contact VE7RJ

-         The Creston Amateurs may want EKARC to takeover/manage their repeater

-         A discussion re BC in-vehicle radio took place.
