This is for YOU guys! The success of your VHF-DX operations is mainly a matter of being on the band at the right time and frequency. In order to avoid devoting all your time to listening to white noise, you will need to know when to look for what. Having been asked for my sources of information a trillion times, I finally decided to launch a link summary. There may be other relevant websites around, but these are the ones I use myself. Here we go

M2 ANTENNA SYSTEMS, INC is a blend of technical expertise, common sense, and real world moxy with over twenty-five years of experience designing and building antennas to satisfy ever expanding communications needs. But we don't just build antennas, we understand radio propagation and Mother Nature mechanically. We take time to learn about the needs of our customers and we treat them as our own. We know pitfalls, and we are dedicated to doing everything we can to help you achieve the best, most reliable communications possible. We are a woman-owned, small family business with old-fashioned work ethics. Our growing base of repeat customers confirm that we treat them right. We have established customers worldwide, a large commercial line of specialized antennas of all types, from 1.5 to 3000MHz, and an impressive custom list of custom designs. Our customers are our best salespeople - word of mouth accounts for at least 75% of our business.

QRZ was founded in 1992 by Fred Lloyd, AA7BQ as a spinoff of what was once called the "Callsign Project", a cooperative effort designed to obtain and distribute FCC database tapes. The "Callsign Project" was born on the internet newsgroup rec.ham-radio (later rec.radio.amateur.misc), and it's initial sponsor was Rusty, Carruth, N7IKQ, who later turned it over to Fred when he became unable to continue due to schedule conflicts.

The goal of the procedures described is to enable contacts to be made by meteor scatter reflection (MS) as quickly and easily as possible. As the reflections are of very short duration the normal QSO procedure is not readily applicable, and special measures must be taken to ensure that a maximum of correct and unmistakeable information is received. The best meteor showers are mostly strong enough to make some of these measures unnecessary, but to encourage use of all generally listed showers there is no reason why the suggested procedures should not always be used.
