Ora LaPenta passed away on March 3, 2001 at the age of 66.  She had been ill for a long time, suffering from heart problems as well as diabetes.  She is survived by her husband, Carmen, who is also a member of the ECARA.  They had four children, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.  Ora held an Extra class operator's license and was proficient at CW. She was also a Volunteer Examiner.  Ora and Carmen have been members of our club since 1998 but has not been able to be active in the club for quite a while due to her health.  She will be sadly missed.
