Ted passed away on September 6, 2000.  He had been suffering from complications of diabetes as well as cancer for many months.  He has been a member of the ECARA since 1997.  Ted loved DXing and was a master at CW.  He could send and receive at high speed while reading a book or talking to you at the same time.  He also had a lot of knowledge about antennas, and was a valued advisor to the Antenna Committee. Ted was an Extra Class operator, and was also a VE.  Whenever anything needed to be done, Ted was there to help. Besides Amateur Radio, he loved woodworking and photography.  He has taken many of the club's photographs.  He and his wife, Ann, were married for 48 years.  Until he retired, he drove truck for Medusa.   He was an easy-going guy who was well liked by everyone.  Ted will be sadly missed -- and long remembered.
