HARRY CHRISTY
N3DBR

1937 - 2005

Harry Christy, N3DBR, passed away on April 21, 2005 at the age of 67.  He is survived by his wife, Jean, three daughters, three sisters, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He was at the Veteran's Hospital in Oakland for surgery to remove a tumor from his pancreas.  Harry was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served as an Airman.

Harry was a member of the ECARA for many years, and was one of our favorite characters.  Harry liked to act nasty when he could get someone to listen and had a dry sense of humor.  But if you knew Harry, he was the most likable guy you could ever want to know.  No matter what was going on or what needed to be done, Harry was right there to help.  We always knew that we could count on him. He loved to work 10 Meters, and he ran the 10-meter ragchew on Tuesday nights for several years.  He loved to operate the radio at Field Day and when we had one set up at the Ellwood City Festival.  He would sit there for hours talking to whoever he could contact.

He will surely be missed, and his laughter and his wit will long be remembered fondly.  We will never forget him.
