EDDIE RAY BLACK
KB3CQW
1938 -
1999

Eddie Ray Black passed away on January 13, 1999 following a massive heart attack. Eddie was a fun-loving character, and a familiar voice on the 2-meter repeater. He always had a kind word to say to everyone, and tried to bring a smile to everyone he talked to. His constant companion, his dog named Bear, lived with Eddie in his motor home. They traveled all over the country together. Eddie loved DXing and was getting ready to take his 5 wpm code test so he could expand his DXing into more of the HF bands. We will miss his cheerful voice, his colorful language, and his stories about his travels and prospecting for gold. Bear now lives with one of our other members, former President Terry Roberts (K3TLR).
