HAROLD R. "BOB" O'CONNER

Bob passed away on August 22nd at the age of 65 after being ill for several years with various ailments. He was the husband of club secretary, Linda O'Conner. They had been married for 31 years. He was also survived by two sisters, two sons, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He had worked for the Borough of Ellwood City driving truck for the sanitation department.
Bob was a vital part of our organization. Even though he had physical limitations, he did what he could wherever he could. He loved working on the radios. DXing, Field Day, the Ellwood Festival, and at home. Early on, he convinced his wife, Linda, to get her license also, and you could hear them practically every day talking as she came home from work. We all will miss his stories and good humor. He was truly one of a kind, and we shall never forget him.
