ECARA FIELD DAY 2002

This year's Field Day was held at our EmComm Center on Mosser Drive in New Castle.  Jim Klingensmith (N3ZJM) and Chuck Johnson (N3ETV) have put a great deal of work into the camp, and now have it running completely on emergency power with compressors, solar power and battery power.  If you think that sounds pretty dull -- they have a kitchen (complete with microwave), running water, TV and Internet, and a small furnace for cold weather! They even have a vegetable garden. Can't beat that.

Unfortunately, there was not a good turnout for the contest this year.  But we got the food booth loaded and ready for the Festival, and had a picnic in spite of the rain.
