Mail written at Thu, 27 Jul 95 17:42:21 EST+5: Hello I have interfaced G3RUH modem with PCPA's DRSI card type 1, this with one 1k2 AFSK port and one HiSpeed port RS232/TTL level, i discovered that RxD from the G3RUH modem is 'flirping' betwen 1 and 0 alot when i connected it to the radio. This 'flirping' is 'hard time' for the DRSI card, and computer, i got alot of RX errors, RXcrc error and even somethimes RXoverruns.. So i modified the RxD out from G3RUH modem, that i will give you some info about here.. ______ RxD o--------------| \ | |------o New RxD out +-----|______/ | AND eg 74HC08 | |\ | | \ | DCD o----| o-+ | / HEX Inverter eg 74HC14 |/ With this circiut RxD out will be silent until there is some data in and DCD go low. (G3RUH modem has locked) I was studing one TNC2 with G3RUH modem, there are no RxD out on the serial port, but i wonder how some node software eg TheNet X1J would take this 'flirping' of data input, maybe lot of RXerrors there to..? 73 de Morgan / sm6tky -- E-mail to, AX25net: sm6tky@sk6ba.p.swe.eu AMPRnet: sm6tky@sm6tky.ampr.org Internet: sm6tky@mark.se -or- sm6tky@tripnet.se
