RGV 902Mhz 

I promise there will be more to come but here is whats up... 

The technical group has started two new repeaters at 902.3175 and 902.5175. If you want to use the repeaters you must pay a 100.00 first year membership fee. Sounds like a lot you say? Well in addition to becoming a member, after payment you will receive a pre programmed 902 radio that has both repeaters and  simplex. The radio is on loan to you and you must return it when the year is up or you may renew and continue using the radio. You will be responsible for things like the antenna, installation etc. We are not sure how much next renewal will be but we hope to get enough members that it will be much less. If you have a 902 radio that you want to use, the membership is only 100.00. Yup its the same! Why? Well, this stuff costs big time so we are just trying to level out the cost so we can all play and have $$$ for service and upgrades.

We don't mind a person testing to see if there radio works or even contacting us for a short test QSO but if you plan to use the repeaters please join up.

Channel one is a Johnson repeater running 20 watts at 180ft in McAllen. Ht range is San Juan to Mission and out. Mobile is Donna to Mission and out.

Channel two repeater is at 500ft in Edinburg Texas. It is a Motorola 300watt Purc5000 running at 100Watt.  We have not tested the range yet but its got to be super!
