Rob, KB5TAC suggested that we publish the preamble for the local net. This way, persons wishing to be net control can copy it to use and keep the net consistent!  Good idea, so here it is!

CQ CQ CQ the District 81 7pm Thursday, weekly RACES training net.  The net is a controlled net, your net control this evening is (CALL), my RACES designation is (81-###-$, ALT-{$$$$$ COUNTY} LIAISON).  The purpose of this net is the training of RACES personnel and amateur radio stations registered with a civil defense organization in the District 81area.  The District 81 area is composed of Cameron, Hidalgo and Willacy counties.  At this time, we are looking for the:   

1^st DRO, District Radio Officer

(Unkey-Pause) 

2^nd Cameron county CLO (County Liaison Officer)

(Unkey-Pause) 

3rd Hidalgo county CLO (County Liaison Officer)

(Unkey-Pause) 

4th Willacy county CLO (County Liaison Officer)

(Unkey-Pause) 

5th  Call for county alternates.

Then open the net to those that are on the rosters of the district 81 counties civil defense organizations

Ask for Questions and or comments

Then open the "free net" to any stations interested in emergency communications

This local RACES net meets every Thursday night 7PM on the RioLink System
