(with at least two stations) from Belep Is (IOTA OC-079) between 28

  TA - Special event station YM75TA will be active from 24 July through 29
October to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
Nilay, TA3YJ and Berkin, TA3J, will operate this station on 10, 15,
20, 40 and 80 metres SSB. QSL via TA3YJ. <TNX The Daily DX>
  J48/SV8, IONIAN ISLANDS (Greece). Kiki, SV1BRL (YL), will be active until
October from Kefalonia Island (EU-052) as SV1BRL/8. Activity will be on
SSB, mainly on 80, 40, the WARC bands, 6 and 2 meters bands. If you were
lucky to work her between July 24-27th, and during the IOTA Contest, she
used a special callsign "J48KEF". QSL both callsigns via SV1BRL.
  NAMIBIA, V5. Ken, SM7DZZ, will be QRV as V5/SM7DZZ for one year.
He plans to operate mostly CW on the low bands. QSL to home call.
  NEPAL, 9N. Charles, K4VUD, will be QRV as 9N1UD until the end of
November 1998. Activity is expected on 160 to 15 meters, with a
possibility of 10 and 6 meters as well. QSL to home call.
  9V8, SINGAPORE. "The 59(9) DXReport" states that Singapore stations can
use the 9V8 prefix from July 18-November 15.
  CARIBBEAN TOUR. Rob/PA3ERC and Ronald/PA3EWP have announced they will be
active from Montego Bay, Jamaica (6Y) between August 27th and September
8th, using the callsigns 6Y5/PA3ERC and 6Y5/PA3EWP. They will also be
active from Leeward, Cayman Islands (ZF) September 8-20th, using the
callsigns ZF2RC and ZF2WP. They plan to have two stations on the air
operational on 160-10 meters. Operations are planned to be active on
the modes CW, SSB and RTTY. Also, 6 meters will be activated when
propagation permits. They will focus mainly on the WARC bands and the
low bands for Europe during their grayline. Both locations will have an
excellent takeoff to the US and Europe. A Web Page has been set up
containing actual information, digital photo's and daily uploaded logs.

  EI, IRELAND. Look for Graham, M0AEP, in the coming weeks (July 18th-August
1st) to be active as EI/M0AEP from Kenmare River in County Kerry. His
activity will be on CW and SSB.
  VK9, WILLIS ISLANDS. Look for Graeme, VK5GW, to be active as VK9WG for
the next six months beginning July. QSL via home call.
  9N, NEPAL (Update). Charles, K4VUD, reports that beginning July 10th,
he will be operating 9N1UD and will be looking especially for stateside
contacts. He will stay in the Kathmandu area until about December 5th.
He suggests looking for him during Nepal's sunrise and sunset times daily
(he can not predict which days). He will first try 14195, then 14023
kHz; and then 21295 and 21023 kHz. He has a daily sked with Southeast
Asians on 14215 at 0100z, via either his 9N callsign or 9N1AA, or if
they get it, 9N1MM. He plans to try the lower bands this time (also 10
and 6 meters). Charles intends to E-mail the DX-Reflector's Mail List
on any specific skeds when and if he can make things specific.
  ET3, ETHIOPIA. Steve/G3VMW, Alan/G3XAQ and Andy/G4ZVJ, will be operational
from Addis Ababa, as ET3AA, between September 18th and 27th. Activity
from ET3AA, the club station of the Ethiopian Amateur Radio Society,
will be on all bands from 160-10m but with emphasis on the LF and the
WARC bands. The operation will be mainly CW with some SSB and RTTY if
there is sufficient demand. Operating frequencies will be as follows:
1829, 3508, 7008, 10108, 14026, 18076, 21026, 24896 and 28026 kHz. Always
split frequency, listening up between 1 kHz and 5 kHz. QSLs via Steve

There will be an on-line log search utility immediately after the
operation. During the visit to Addis Ababa, it is hoped to obtain personal
callsigns from the Ethiopian government in readiness for a sustained
two-week DXpedition during 1999.
  FP, MIQUELON ISLAND. The Prairie DX Group (N9PD) is pleased to announce
their DXpediiton to Miquelon Island (NA-032) from August 26th to September
1st. Their callsign will be FP/N9PD, and they will be operating mutli-band
10-80 meters (also maybe 6 meters), multi-mode (SSB, CW & RTTY)
continuously during the DXpedition. QSL info is direct (SASEs or IRC

  3D2, ROTUMA (and Fiji Islands). Roberto, EA4DX, who you may remember from
last September as 8Q7XX, will be active from Rotuma Island August 29th
to September 19th (3 weeks), and from Fiji (Viti Levu) September 20-24th.
He will sign from Rotuma as 3D2DX and from Fiji as 3D2DX/P. Activity will
be on all bands 160-10 meters including the WARC bands on the usual DX
frequencies. Operations will be on SSB and RTTY. Most of his activity
from Fiji will be on the low bands and RTTY. His equipment includes a
Yagi for 10/12/15/17/20 meters and a vertical for 40/80/160 meters, plus

active as BI4M from Chang Dao, Miaodao Archipelago (Shandong
Province North East group, AS-???) on either 21-23 September or
