The Foundation

The Philippine DX Foundation, Inc. was conceptualized in 1997 by a group of Filipino amateur radio enthusiasts who felt that there is a need for an organization that would provide and support valuable programs of interest not only to the Filipino amateurs but to the amateur individual, group and club as a whole. In June 12, 1998, the Philippine DX Foundation, Inc. was organized by a group of elders in Philippine amateur radio and the goals and objectives were layed out to provide amateurs new horizons in amateur radio. Programs on ham radio education, dx’ing, contesting, dxpedition, awards and new areas of developments are the venues of interest. This is a non-profit organization and as such would need the help and support of donors and sponsors to ensure the realization and success of it’s programs. Volunteer members upon recommendation by the membership committee are indeed welcome to provide the man power in it’s operations. In as much as goals, guidelines, rules and provisions are already installed, the main and foremost objective now is to solicit the support of individuals may he/she be an amateur, club, society or government entity. Cooperation and working in harmony with other societies, organizations and government supplements the success of the programs and thereby awarding those involved self-fulfillment and recognition which then would serve as inspirations for the future ham generation. The Philippine DX Foundation, Inc. is geared in establishing a healthy ham community. This foundation was organized to see the upliftment of amateur radio in the country and the projection of a respectable amateur radio community to the world.
