Rei, DU1LWQ, has been a ham radio operator since 1988. His equipment include Icom IC-228H,IC-281H, IC-2100, IC-207H, Alinco DR-135TP and Alinco DJ-180TH for the 2-meter band Alinco DX-70T and Kenwood TS-440SAT for HF. DU1LWQ station uses a 5-element Yagi and Monobander Ringo Ranger, Diamond X-510 and CP-22 for 2m, Comet CHA721 dualbander for 40m and 15m, Sagant MT240X Multibander, 20m dipole, and a 40m inverted vee.

He is also very active in packet mode. His packet address is DU1LWQ@4F1MIR.CLUZ.PHL.OC. He is ususally QRV at 7.0450 MHz, 14.277MHz, 21.275Mhz and 144.980MHz (minus 600KHz). His other callsign is KF6ZDF. His wife, Zenda,DU1LOU, is also a ham. They have 3 children, Jep, Joe and John.

Rei is a Protestant minister and is serving at Los Banos Presbyterian Church as Senior Pastor. He is known to many as Pastor Rei. He belongs to the Presbyterian Church of the Philippines.
