Actually locomotives were my large passion, steam locomotives stood naturally completely above on the list of the favorites. Well, the steam locomotives became less and then, a Christmas were a radio man under the Christian tree. To it there were many construction units and nevertheless beside a diode a transistor, naturally with a glashousing. This was installed in a round yellow version, thus could one NF ampifiier construct itself. (a further HF Tansistor with green version gave it then specially than accessories!).
And with that available construction units among other things a coil in paperrolls size of and a varicap with a plate one could build oneself a diode receiver me NF amplifier. Said, done. And there came out  somewhat from black headphone to hardly believe. In the evening then it really starts .
With turned cap radio Prague came completely out with German program and the request reports to send in in here. Thus, that was naturally also made, indication of frequency: Completely unscrewed cap. And to hardly believe, answer, to from Prague, the first QSL card came!
