Ngorongoro Crater 2005


The Crater forms part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area - 8300 square kilometres set aside for the preservation and integration of the diverse values and interests of wildlife, historic cultures, forestry, archaeology and tourism. The Crater has a diameter of 22 kms. It was amazing what a huge number of animals living in the Crater. During the evenings we stayed at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge which is located on Lemala Hill on the Eastern Rim of the Crater, 2375 m above sea level.
