DXpedition to the Nature Island
On Air from Dominica

Actually the DXpedition to Dominica is over now. It was a phantastic trip to the British West Indies!
I travelled via Tobago (9Y) and Barbados (8P) for getting to the Commonwealth of Dominica.
On a operating time of nearly 12 days I was able to reach 6.650 QSO's without dupes.
I could work continuous from 80m-10m. Like every time I was active in CW,SSB and RTTY.
The QTH was located on the north-east side of the island at Pointe Baptiste which is a part of the village Calibishie.
This part of the island enables you a fine take-off to Europe and NA/SA.
On my time there I experienced a lot of friendly and helpfull people who gave me a lot of support to make
this DXpedition possible! Thanks to all of you!
Especially to my hosts of the Pointe Baptiste Guesthouse: Alan & Marina Napier
And of course to the Family Augustus for their phantastic meals and welcome to me on all days and nights!

final destination - airport Melville Hall operating as J79AN

Jan, J79AN and his QTH in the background the blacksand beach - just down below my QTH

natural pole for the 80m antenna :-) great take-off towards EU & NA/SA

phantastic natural surrounding area refreshing after set-up of the 80m dipole - "ya-man"
