Picture left shows the current shack setup which consists of a YAESU FT-1000MP as
main and a Yaesu FT-847 (not on Foto) as spare rig. On the right you see the ETO 91ß
amplifier. On top of the FT-1000 are 2 monitors for logging and packetcluster network.
Usually I am connected to internet- and local packetcluster. The spots are selected at
the computer on the right and are delivered without dupes to the logcomputer on the
left. This little network runs with 2 TNCs only and the idea was given by Klaus, DJ4AX.
On the left site of the picture you can see the control boxes for the 40m 4-Square, the
rotator control and the main box for switching all the antennas. The big box below the
rotator control is responsible for switching the TX and RX antennas. All antenna relays
are outside the house.

At the picture on the right you have a sideview of the station. In the back you see a
coax patchfield which was installed in July 1999 after a big stroke of lightning. I lost half
of my station due to high voltage on the coaxlines and the protection earth. With the
patchfield I am now able to disconnect EVERY cable which is coming from the outside
and is going to the station. This includes all coax lines, the rotator control cable and of
course every powerline.

This is the new powerline controlunit which was also installed after the nightmare in
July 99. Beside the coax patchfield I am now able to disconnect every 230V cable
remotely from the shack by strong relays.

The upper picture shows the left side of my shack with my "working horse" in the
middle and some stuff like printer, scanner, phone, etc around. This computer is mainly
used for internet, multimedia and some QRL work.
