It was when I saw these homemade paddles (on a QRP-Homepage) consisting of a few soldered up PC boards, that I cought fire....
Could this simple setup really work well, and compete with my beloved Bencher?!? And if such simple paddles
worked fine, what about the rigs then? It was worth a try. I decided to build my own version of these paddles for a start, changing the design just slightly in terms of size, as I prefer a smaller setup. And yes, the little thing works great! Now I needed a rig to match it, and found an appropriate kit in the Wilderness Radio SST20. |
