My exponential cage antenna works from top band up to 28Mhz
On 1,8MHz and 3,5MHz it works as a ground loaded thick vertical arial. The genuine bandwidth starts with real aerial resistance at 7MHz. From around 22MHz to upper frequencies the low radiation decreases. Some interesting results on top band - the band opens earlier as on a longwire. Later than the lw is louder. Worked all continents but oceania on 1,8MHz with this short vertical. 80m DXing is not a problem. On 10m sometimes the decreasing low radiation became apparent.
