Usedom EU-129     /     Greifswalder Oie  EU-057

Our first trip to an island should take us to the “Greifswalder Oie” within the Baltic Sea. This former restricted area has been used for testing rockets during World War II and still remained a forbidden island until 1990.
The island is about one hour away from the coast of Usedom Isl..
Because of bad weather we had to wait 2 days on the Island of Usedom . Until we left at the 9th of November 1996 we activated EU-129

Unsere erste Inseltour sollte uns zur “Greifswalder Oie” führen.Die Insel war während des zweiten Weltkrieges Teil der Heeresversuchsanstalt Peenemünde.Noch bis 1990 galt sie als militärische Sperrzone. Man benötigt etwa eine Stunde mit dem Motorboot um die vor Usedom gelegene Insel zu erreichen.
Schlechtes Wetter hielt und zwei Tage in Ahlbeck auf Usedom fest . Bis zur Abfahrt am
09. November 1996 waren wir von EU-129 aktiv.
