Born in 1956, I grew up in a small village
at the northern outskirts of Berlin.

FA 4/84

Not “Cover of the ‘Rolling Stone’ “ (... song by Dr. Hook),
but cover of FUNKAMATEUR 4/84, including my article
about FM handheld TRX with IF of 600 kHz,
designed for working via VHF repeaters with 600 kHz shift.
Starting point was to show that it is possible to build TRX
for 145 MHz band without any crystal filter.

1988/1989 publishing some articles in FUNKAMATEUR
concerning modules like panel digital voltmeters, probes,
power supply circuits and others
to solve every days tasks
in home brewing practice of radio amateurs

1991/1992 working more then 200 DXCCs,
mainly on 10 m band, during sun spot maximum,
using IC-726, running 100 W into
home made 2 element quad antenna for 28 MHz.

UHF contest

Taking part in VHF/UHF contest in 1993
working on 23 cm band
using Yaesu FT-736 and 55 element TONNA yagi
in the mountains of Saxony.
