Foehr 2003

From 27.09.03 to 11.10.03 i stayed again on the Island of Foehr EU-142 in the North Sea. There have been some beautiful weachter an i could make some nice contacts. RIG this time was my FT-897, Power 100 W, Antenna was a dipole 2 x 12 m on a glasfibertower and FC-automatic antenna tuning on the FT-897.

When i was leaving the Island there have been a very nice rainbow saying good bye until next year !!

Foehr 2001

At the VHF-Meeting in Weinheim 2001 i decided to buy and FT-817. Oh i can tell, it is a very nice RIG. A few weeks later i had my holidays and made my first QRP-activity from the Island of Foehr (EU-042). I was only using the FT-817, a small Tuner MFJ-16010 for random wires and 20 m of wire i was throwing out of the window of the Hotel. I made in this 2 weeks 100 QSO, this was no radio Holiday hi...

QSO Info, all QSO with 5 W:

DXCC: 35

QSOs on 80m:  3                 on 40m:  9

               30m: 13                on 20m: 44

               17m:  3                 on 15m:  10

               12m:  4                 on 10m:  14

I found that really great and i made some small activitys also after that in an youth-group-camp, in my holiday 2002 in the Eifel-Mountains and i also will make some activity this year in the End of September/beginn of October also from EU-042 but from the Island of Amrum.
