Modification of the NORCAL Cascade to region 1
Simple?
Yes! A modification of band-modules is not neccessary after the change
of VFO-frequency. With this simple modification I obtained a QRG-range
of 3.59 to 3.8 and 14.11 to 14.35 MHz.
What is needed?
Visit your local electronics distributor, all should be on stock....
all is very very standart.

6 crystals 8.867238 MHz
- 1 capacitor 68 pF (NP0)
- 1 capacitor 6.8 pF (NP0)
- frequency counter
What is to be done?
This will be a very quick mod after all....
- change all xtals in the circuit to 8.89xx MHz
- modify the VFO: replace C21 (82pF) with 68pf and 6.8pF in
parallel, both NP0
- readjust the VFO range to 5.22 to 5.4x MHz for 20m
- readjust the VFO range 5.0x (4.9x)to 5.29 MHz for 80m
