About my self:
I was born on the 28th. of april 1971 in the small town of Rosenheim (south Germany). I grew up in east Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya). At the age of 10 my parents moved to Italy (Florence) where I made my first steps towards my future hobby.
I started with a CB-station, an allmode transceiver and a 5/8 groundplane antenna. After I worked half world on the 11m-band, I wanted to get further and work also the other half of the world!
At the age of 16 I went under my first radio amateur exams and failed in all parts exept sending in morse code (where I reached a speed of 80cpm, required were 40cpm), but this little highlight didn't help me in anyway to get my licence :-).
Half year later I transferd to south Germany in a boarding school where I did my A-levels in 1992.
In 1993 I started as a trainee in the merchant navy on container vessels shipping worldwide. Two and a half years later I passed my exams and since 1996 I study marine engineering at the University of Applied Science of Flensburg.

- On the 27th. of november '98 I finally got the time and achieved my CEPT class 2 radio amateur licence.
- 14th. of April 2000: I finished my studies at university!
- Since July 2000 I work as an Marine Engineer on container vessels.
- On the 19th. of november '02 I achieved the CEPT class 1 licence.
