DCARC June Minutes


In the absence of club President, Jerry Lewis, the meeting was called to order by Vice President, Ed Tilley at 7:00pm on June 14, 2010 at the EOC Building. Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and an opening prayer.

The minutes and treasurer's report were read and accepted.
There was a vote made and passed to accept the Constitution and Bylaws that were presented to the club at the April meeting.
Ed Tilley brought to the attention of the club that we need to confirm the number of members who are ARRL members.  To be accredited by the ARRL 51% of local club members must belong to ARRL.
Larry Duke reported that in three recent contests, our club came in first place in all three and that an award or prize of some type would be coming from the Minnesota contest.
Tom Keil was welcomed back.
Richard Anderson presented ideas on how Field Day could be set up and it was decided that we would operate 2A  with 1 SSB, 1 CW, 1 VHF and 1 GOTA station.  $100.00 was allocated for pizza,water,etc...during the weekend.
Skip Delius gave us a little 'show and tell' with 3 Radio Amateur Handbooks dated from and priced at 1962 $3.50, 1975 $5.50, and 2006 w/CD $39.95.
Secretary/Treasurer, Toni Tilley, turned in her resignation and their will be an election at the July Meeting to fill that position.

We collected $33.00 bringing our balance to $383.00 plus one outstanding IOU for $5.00.
