DCARC Minutes
August 10, 2009
The DCARC held its monthly meeting on August 10, 2009 at the Rennaissance Center
with Vollie Miller presiding. The following members were present: Skip, Bobby, Larry,
Dalton, Toni, Ed, Phil, Richard, Bruce, Vollie and Charles.
The meeting was started with a pledge of allegiance. Information was passed along
to members concerning the Health condition of inactive member Jeff Clark and the
club approved the sending of a flower arrangement or fruit basket to Jeff, with
best wished for a speedy recovery.
A motion was made by Skip that the club authorize the re-activation of club call
WC4DC since the transfer of trusteeship from Jeff Clark to Larry Duke.
The motion passed.
It was reported that the club picnic would be held September 19th
at Lakeview Park. Upon checking with the Dickson Parks Department, I find that the
reservation is for October 10th. The president was notified.
Richard gave the members a final 2009 Field Day Report. The total club points
were 2,216.
Vollie reported that the Huntsville, Alabama Hamfest was August 15th.
Vollie called for the program which consisted of stories from members of how
they got started in ham radio and some of their interesting contacts.
The applications for club membership by Phil Clark, KR6EL and Dalton Hall, KJ4KVB
were approved by the members who were present.
The club passed the hat for club donations and $22.00 was collected. This made
the club fund balance $396.04
A committee was appointed to review and study the DCARC By-laws to see in any
additions, changes, or deletions were needed. Those appointed include Vollie, Skip,
Larry, and Charles.
A motion was made and seconded for adjournment. The motion passed.
