Reading of last month's minutes was deferred.

Charles received word from LeeAnn Polk that Room 216 is reserved for DCARC
meetings every month of 2008 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
It was requested that we try to leave by 9:00pm.

Comments made about the Christmas Party were that the food was very good,
one of the best Christmas dinners we have had.  But it was a little disappointing in
that it was open to the public and we were not able to have a meeting.  We did
present and surprise Ralph Stanton with a Plaque for his donation to the club.

Jeff Clark was asked to arrange for reservations at Lakeview Park for either the
1st or 2nd Saturday in May.  He will also see about reservations for our Fall picnic
on Sept.13,2008.

It was decided that we would try to get Buckner Park as our Field Day site.
The weekend of June 28th is when Field Day will be held this year.  Jeff Clark
will be making those arrangements also.

New Information forms were distributed and turned in by all members present.

Jeff Clark reported that the public service tower was struck lightning again.
There was a lot of discussion about what equipment and feed line would be needed
when we are permitted to hook up to the tower.

Charles suggested that we not hold VE testing sessions unless we know that there is someone who wants to take the test.  At the last session no one showed up and it is a waste of time and material.

There was some discussion about field day, antennas, equipment, GOTA etc.  No definite decisions were made.  Jerry said he has been working on the wireless networking and has 4 PC's talking to the router.  He and Ed are going to be working on this together.

Ed advised that there is now a link on our club website to ARRL Contest Information.
